Autosport International NEC - January 12th 2008 |
| The NEC hosted the
annual winter fix for motorsport enthusiasts and
for the first time featured “Drag Racing” in the
live action arena. The show itself was seemed
smaller than in previous years although the
addition of the Pistonheads section went someway
towards redressing this. |

Flame and Thunder, Santa Pod - November 3rd 2007 |
| The annual Flame and
Thunder show took place on a wonderful November
day so much so I even managed to get sunburnt. A
huge crowd was treated to a plethora of
attractions from Top Fuel to Drifting climaxing
with two huge firework displays. The event was
so busy that the “Sold Out” signs had to be put
up and for 2008 Santa Pod will be running two
events with one geared mainly to the local area. |

The National Finals started off slowly with the
track crews being kept very busy on the Saturday
with early damp conditions being followed by a
number of quite severe assaults on the surface
by various fluids. Sunday was a much better day
although quite cool. The action on the track was
as hot as ever though and the racing season was
rounded off in fine style. We would like to add
our thanks to all the racers and crews, both on
and off track who overcame the challenges thrown
at them this season and provided us all with
some great racing. |

The European Finals
2007 will be long remembered by all those in
attendance. The season finale was a spectacular
event with more action, drama and excitement
than was almost feasible. Championships
literally went down to the event finals, with
records and personal bests tumbling along the
way. We have galleries of three days of track
action along with one of people and behind the
scenes shots. |
