The Jacks Hill Cafe held their Ton Up Sunday on July 15th 2012. It was my first visit to the event and it certainly won’t be the last. The transport cafe which holds bike nights through the Summer was transformed into a two-wheeled mecca and the Cafe Racers and Rockers of yesteryear were out in force, on one of the few nice Sundays we have been lucky enough to enjoy this year.
The RBLR Northamptonshire branch had a display there which was a great success and it was good to meet some old friends and make a few more.
The stars of the show though were undoubtedly the bikes and there really was a two-wheeled feast on offer. From the classics of the 50′s and 60′s through to modern-day exotica there was something for almost everyone to drool over. Triumph’s, Norton’s, BSA’s, Vincent’s and also the custom bikes of the day such as TriBSA’a and Norvin’s filled the front car park. A beautifully sprayed Suzuki RGV 500 was an eye catcher and keep a look out in the gallery for the matt black two-wheeled Hot Rod in the form of a custom Harley Davidson. Check out that exhaust and the owner was kind enough to start it up so we could drop our jaws. You will see in one photo where a blip of the throttle cleaned away the top level of the car park surface.
